Bit young to be on the Omeprazole, Juke?

Forgot all about this post 😂

Aye, the doctor said the same thing 😅.. been on them a few years already. Literally any food sets it off, obviously some more than others. Asked them for further tests but they were like "nah, it's a bit invasive and your young, it should sort itself out" although I'm beginning to think that might not be the best course of action long term

Did ask the

12% of the population are on it.

Suffered acid reflux. Had the endoscope and the doc said it was one of the fastest confirmations he’d ever done seeing the acid firing up my thrapple soon as he looked. Not many folk know you actually have about 60 sphincters in your body. The one at the top of your stomach can leak causing the reflux. Being a fat bassa doesn’t help.

I’m doing this FODMAP thing for my IBS. Working a treat. Couple of times I’ve been bent double the last few months, and not in a good way.

I’ve always thought people using IBS as an excuse at work was nonsense, but itv an be totally debilitating.

It’s also not very sexy.

More so now we know there’s sixty sphincters in a body.

Like a selection box.

You should have a food intolerance test mate, it might save you a lot of grief in the future.

Can’t beat a pint of Guinness
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope.

Was in Letterkenny on Saturday. Guinness wasn't great.

Oh really?

It is very volatile and when it’s not good it can be terrible.

Best drink out there when done right imo.

Completely agree. I used to live in Warrenpoint and the Guinness was always great. They say the closer you are to Dublin the better it is. Was busting for a proper pint of Guinness during lockdown and that was an anti climax. First time being in Letterkenny, was funny as the border is basically a bridge. Went through Derry, over a bridge and next minute the satnav changed to KM.

Anyway I think the cans are surprisingly good. How they managed to produce the gas etc. I'd put them way above pints in most other places outside of South Ireland.

I had a pint of Guinness in a sports bar in Tbilisi, it was surprisingly good. I've never had a good pint in England for example. Got myself a free whiskey also and learned that I liked whiskey straight. The American lady who own the pub, who claimed to be Irish, found out I was from Belfast and brought me a Jamisons with ice. I thought feck me she thinks I drink this stuff straight, I better not ruin her perception of the Irish(I call myself Irish when I'm abroad, it's easier that way and saves the explaining). Was bloody lovely.

In the US, unless you speak like Downton Abbey they have you down as Irish anyway.

The slightly more enlightened ones that have watched The Simpsons try to clarify that Scatland is a bit of England, right?

There's a few passport holders used outside Mexico & the Caribbean that get it.
