Said it all along the moment we appointed Jose, let’s judge him properly next season. He hasn’t done a spectacular job so far, but done a decent job since his arrival, more notably since the premier league restart where we are now 4th in the table if the league started then. He has clearly worked on something during lockdown because bar the horrendous Sheffield United game, our defence does look a lot stronger.
We 100% still need to buy players in defence, starting by replacing the atrocious Aurier, but for what he’s had to work with, I think Jose has done pretty good with that defence. Has the footy been great ? Not really, but top 4 was long gone before lockdown and Europa was our benchmark with the current squad as it is now. We managed to bag 6th and got a Europa league spot.
The cup games will see us either start in the qualifying stages or the groups, but we are in Europe next season. Let Mourinho get some players in this summer and then you judge him next season. If we struggle next season, then by all means you are justified to wanting him out. If he wins something for us, he would of proved 85% of you on here wrong. I won’t name names, but some of you will have egg on you’re faces if he does deliver.
We move on now and strengthen on what is a pretty average Spurs side. We are 6th and in the Europa for a reason because we currently are not good enough for the CL. Next season I want top 4 and a trophy. Mourinho was bought in for that reason and I expect it now.

Sixth is a good effort by Jose given the mess of the club when he took over. Football has been poor for you to watch at times but the results have been decent.
People saying he needs to get 4th or a trophy next season... That’s very well but unless he gets the money to spend this summer you can forget it. The squad is poor in several areas and needs a lot of improvement.
I can’t see him being given the money to do that personally, but we’ll see.

I think top 4 is going to be much harder next year than this.
You have to assume Liverpool and City are immovable. Man Utd will be stronger still. Chelsea signed well.
