White was fantastic at championship level. But we are now looking for top half of premier league standard players. If he is that level then let’s go all out to secure him. Otherwise there may be cheaper options.

Brentford conceded 59 goals last season 38 this season. 81 points this season 64 last season. Is it down to one person ? Probably not.

No, because they signed multiple defenders last summer, whereas we only sold one.

Brentford are an amazing club, they have teams like Chelsea, Fulham and QPR all within walking distance and yet their recruitment is second to none, they have made year on year net profits. Benrahma was scouted by a teaching assistant whilst playing for Nice's second side. Pinnock was signed from Barnsley of all places, why wasn't he on our radar?
They take players with potential from lower league sides and coach them to reach their potential. Could it be that the reason why they have been so miserly this year is because they signed Jannson and Pinnock and improved them?
Seems to me we need to look at our scouting network and maybe sign some of Brentford's scouts.
