There is talk of teams in the Europa

Cup giving the League Cup a miss this season. WTF. It is absolutely essential Spurs compete in as many competitions as possible. The League Cup for Spurs should be an absolute target this season, so no way should they be withdrawing before a ball is kicked. I would sooner target all of the cups than a top four finish.

The League Cup, Europa Cup, FA Cup should be very, very high on the list of priorities for Spurs this season. Need to be in it to win it should be the motto.

Oh sorry, I didn't know writing an article on JA606 had to be a contender for the Booker Prize.

Sandy, a footballer's physical conditioning is completely different nowadays to what it was in the times you referred to.

So as not to knock either, you might say it's like comparing an off-road vehicle to a sports car - built differently to perform differently in different conditions.

Put a modern day footballer in those old conditions, and he might break down during the first half. Put one from the old days in today's game and he might be made to look like a tractor.

Nah, the old time players would easily adapt to today`s game. You either have or or you don`t. And there was a lot more that had it 30/40 years back than the modern players. Some of them I don`t know how they earn a living playing football. Just running about like in the modern game, does not in any way equate to being a good footballer.

Even if so sandys certainly wouldn’t with its daft way of not bothering with titles. It would be like picking up a book that has the name based on whatever was in the opening sentence

In The Beginning...

...God created the Heaven and Earth.

A bit longer than 'Bible'.

“ Among other public buildings in a certain town, which for many reasons it will be prudent to refrain from mentioning..”

— this was originally called Oliver Twist, until sandys rules came into effect.

I really enjoyed 'A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell)

once gave a public lecture on astronomy.'

I found;
“3 May. Bistritz. Left Munich at 8.35pm, on 1 May, arriving at Vienna early next morning; should have arrived at 6.46pm, but train was an hour late.”

To be quite a scary book about vampires.
