Sad news...I guess he was pretty well known in the Manchester area...I knew him as a 17 year old when we joined the RAF together in 1979, & met again in the 80's he was a bit of a DJ & loved his music
Actually lived 2 miles away from him as kids near Portsmouth but didn't know him then.
Gone too soon...

Seemed like a really affable bloke, came as a shock because not many people knew he was ill

I met Tony once. We were stuck in a queue at Asda Hulme and he was a really nice down to earth guy. Sad loss.

Terribly sad news.
Always liked Tony Morris, came across as a genuine fella, and wasn't even aware he was ill to be honest.

No..I don't think even his colleagues were aware until late into his illness...never realised he'd been on North West local news that long either, until I saw the article on my phone
Always was an entertainer, & was in great demand as a DJ back in the day.
Hits home a bit as i'm 57 too...
