Well then ...
5 months on from when the world decided to shut down due to this global pandemic to where we are now.
Simple question really: what are your thoughts about covid-19?
Personally I'm now having some doubts about the impact of this virus. Too many red flags to be fair. Stories of people somehow testing positive when they've not even been tested or deaths that weren't covid-19 related being labeled as such for some reason.
Not to mention the same authorities who are telling us about how horrible this virus is are also asking us to send our children to school.
I don't know but it certainly raises a lot of questions.
PS: admins , please allow for a discussion on this topic. I notice many social media forums are shutting down certain opinions that tend to disagree with the whole official narrative about this virus.

It's the next generation I feel desperately sorry for.
Most of them are consigned to a prime of life living to merely exist, at best!

Bit dramatic.
When we have it under control and R is small, an anti-virus is available, herd immunity kicks in and medics learn to understand and treat Covid and its effects, it will become an inconvenience like Flu. Flue is rife at winter but not everybody gets it when exposed to it for the above reasons.
Part of life's rich tapestry this one but life goes on, as they say.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not, the economy is fecked and all these loans Rishi Sunak is handing out ain't free. They will be the ones footing the bill.
They won't have a fraction of the career, travel etc opportunities previous generations have had unless they are rich.

The thing I found the most frightening is how citizens not only willingly gave up essential freedoms without asking for more information but in some cases were begging the government to do more (ala take away our right to exercise, extend the lockdown even when it was safe enough to reopen etc).
If someone asked me in January how deadly a pandemic would have to be for the public to submit the way they did I'd have said 20x more deadly to the old/vulnerable and 50x more deadly for the rest.
Make no mistake power hungry potential future dictators are rubbing their hands with glee as it's become very clear they'll be people in their millions happy to not only accept martial law, but help implement it!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm confused by this outlook. In what way do power hungry people stand to benefit from their businesses and economies losing money? It's just a way for conspiracy theorist nut jobs to peddle their nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The ''power hungry'' aren't losing money, quite the opposite. The trillions upon trillions being printed from thin-air is (in the main) going to those at the top of the tree.
The only outcome of this germ will be the complete and absolute surveillance of the general population.
Data is the new oil.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Firstly you seem way too far down the rabbit hole of conspiracies to reason with. Second of all I don't think you know how economics work. The more money that's printed the less it is worth.

It'll be "interesting" to see how it plays out and before I continue this isn't an attempt to spread a conspiracy at all. Anyway... there's history of the last major flu pandemic leading to the closure of many small businesses which consolidated power in a few major players.
With things like job keeper (here in Oz) and the furlough scheme in the UK we can only hope that small, medium and even very large businesses can weather the storm. Otherwise the only facking shop left will be Amazon
The other thing that has happened which personally I believe is a deliberate theft of public funds which takes advantage of a terrible situation is the contracts awarded to unqualified companies related to the Tory party. This obviously happens outside of pandemics but has been disgustingly rife lately.
Again the above is not to say the virus has any conspiracy behind its origins, just that there's a very real precedent and in the case of UK government contracts a current benefit to a small number of already obscenely wealthy individuals while everyone else feels the squeeze.

Firstly......Rabbit hole? The rich getting richer during this enforced farce is fact, not fiction.
Secondly.....I'm the only one on this site who has ever mentioned last Sept, the 17th, when the repo-market tanked. A HUGE EVENT!........never mentioned on MSM.
Thirdly......I know. Every fiat currency in history has failed. This is where we are currently at, the final nail in the coffin of a deliberately contrived debt-based system that only serves to impoverish those not deemed worthy.
