In regards to our CB requirement, I think we could do a lot worse than Upamecano based on seeing him once last night
Heard a lot about him but that's the first time I've sat and paid attention to him for 90 minutes.
He looked physically dominant, didn't give Costa an inch, but what really impressed me was his ability to pass the ball forwards.
Apparently has a £60m clause, worth a punt, or is dropping that much on another CB too much?
Their LB Angelino looked quality too.

I agree with OP, we should be interested in him, given our defensive display.
Maybe we're waiting on Smalling and Jones to be sold, that could bring our net spending on a CB to lower figures.
Good, strong CB with some years experience in the age of 21, it's a great prospect to follow.
Expect both Chelsea and Arsenal to have more specific interest in him tho.

He will probably go on to be one of the best CBs in the world, so I'd be very happy if we signed him to partner Slabhead

6 PL appearances isn't enough to judge a 22 year old, but admittedly, neither is 1 appearance in a CL QF.

He’s played twice as many games than that for City this season and I didn’t see enough to convince me he would be good enough, as much as I wanted him to be. That fullback position was there for the taking too.

I said united should grab this kid when you ended up with slab head. Always felt he wI'll end up at one of the biggest teams
