Winks has flaws to his game for sure. But the strengths he has are perfect for what pep looks for.
In a team with the perfect system for him I think he'd play his best football.

I don't rate rice really. I don't really rate winks. I think winks would perform better than rice for city though.

Winks is quality, providing we can play him in his right position, his a deep playing playmaker and at the moment he isn't being utilised correctly.

Winks is a squad player at best... similar player to Tom Carroll... same build et...though Winks is a bit better.

So... if Man City are foolish enough to pay £40m... I’d take it & use it to improve our squad...

Shame we can’t afford Grealish... he’s miles better than Winks

I like Winks purely because he’s a Spurs man, but he’s never going to be top class let’s be honest. He’s a good squad player and if you get offered 40 mil for a squad player, you take it and run. I think I would be upset him leaving purely from a Spurs fan perspective. Football ability wise he’s alright. Really nothing special Winksy.

If we get 40m for him then the academy is doing an excellent job. String of top level professionals being produced by the academy and sold on to raise funds to go out and buy better..... our issue is actually buying those better players though ....
