The fallout from last night's match.

Barca are gonna be going crazy in the market now surely after a poor league campaign and last's night annihilation on the biggest stage.

Is there anyone we should be looking out for as they try and offload player to bring in fresh talent?

They tried, and RM arent no different, how much have they spent in last few years? yet vs city they put out benzema modric casemeiro, still heavily reliant on ramos, Varane shown up without him.

valverde has played v well this season in midfield and should have been used against city

madrid have invested in young talent, who will be given their chance next season im sure

odegaard has been recalled from his loan at sociedad

dont compare us with barca

we're handling the transition period alot better than them, and are in much better shape, player wise and institutionally

Neymar leaving hurt them pretty badly tbf.

What has hurt Barca and it was exactly the same with us is inadequately replacing the engine room of the club. You just can’t deny good Xavi and Iniesta really were.

We still haven’t found two midfield players as good as Keane and Scholes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that's their problem. You can get away with replacing one or two good players with ones maybe slightly inferior. But when a sizeable number of excellent players are past their best or have retired and you've replaced them with inferior quality or not at all, you'll have serious problem.

My father always said that happened to United after the European Cup triumph, eventually ending in relegation. You'd probably be better placed than me to draw parallels with that era, but certainly the likes of Keane and Scholes weren't replaced adequately in the modern era

George Best looked at it a little differently. He saw the desire to win leave the older players after the 68 win. He goes into it quite a bit on one of the many biographies on him.

But you are right that we did stand still. You can’t do that in football.

I don’t know if they will. They’re struggling financially. And no doubt wants their expensive flops/ageing stars.

It will take a while for Barcelona to build up another top team, unless they're got unbelievable youth prospects.

Clubs like Dortmund have acquired some of the world's top young footballing talent and from their comments the other day about Sancho, don't appear willing to let it leave.

Also we see the folly of flavour of the month signings with Barca instead of signing the right player for the right reason.

Where have we seen that before.

Can’t see Barça getting their crap together until the current president and BoD have been replaced. With this lot it’s as if the lunatics are running the asylum
