Man City - bottle CL again.

Bottle job.. every season!

Ok it’s the CL-lite version but it just shows if you don’t have European pedigree, spending billions and actually having Laporte back won’t be enough.

Beaten by a waffle cone, and a Celtic reject..

Hello City fans! Maybe next season is your season?

No I’m fine If you were genuinely interested I would, but given I was only replying to a wum that doesn’t really work, it’s not worth the effort. It’s a factual point, not an opined one, so there’s nothing to validate that isn’t already available.

Well unless you do so, it is just your opinion.

You reckon Man City earned more from the CL than Liverpool CL run + super cup + world club cup.

Interested to see the breakdown of that.

“Well unless you do so, it is just your opinion.“

You don’t really need me to tell you what’s wrong with that do you...?

Glad you’re actually interested though, perhaps you will end up looking yourself. That’s how facts are facts after all, apparently...

Welllll looking it up, vs LFC, Man City getting to the quarter finals is worth +10m

In comparison v Man City, LFC won +6m (PL) +4.5m (CWC) +4m (SC) = +14.5m

Difference of +4.5m in LFCs favour.

Interested to know what breakdown you have...

You then need to look at the coefficent difference and the performance payments and add them in too.

That was worth an additional 11m to us compared to you last season. That will drop a bit but will still be more than that 4.5 million.

It’s my biggest issue with the CL. The prize money is way too high, it’s created financial disparity in itself far more than anything else.

Pretty sure our coefficient ramped up last couple of seasons getting to the final and winning it last season.

What are the coefficients for this seasons CL?

It would have done but not near to ours yet. It’s over ten years remember.

Given your original post was insinuating how little prize money we’d have though, I’d say even discussing single figure differences debunks that.

Single figures as in upto 9 million quid?

10 years is pretty long considering how quickly clubs fortunes can change these days.
