I cannot deal with the anti-Poch rhetoric from the usual culprits.
This theory that Poch cannot be classed as a good manager because he hasn’t won a trophy is utter nonsense. He has managed three clubs in Espanyol, Southampton and Spurs. In that time Jose has coached Inter, Madrid, Chelsea and United. Do you seriously believe that if Poch had managed those four clubs, he would have won nothing? Surely, the quality of the clubs is the most important factor here.
Also, this logic of managers only being classed by the amount of trophies they have won means that Michael Laudrup (1 League Cup), Roberto Di Matteo (1 Champions League), Alex McLeish ( 1 League Cup) are superior to the likes of Poch or Nuno Santos. Utter tosh.
I speak as someone who actually agreed with the sacking of Poch, but I appreciate what he had done for our club and the football we played under him was the best I have seen Spurs play in my 38 years.

Like many, I felt that the CL run had papered over the cracks. No away win in the league for nearly year, off the back of a 3-0 loss against Brighton and a 7-2 home mauling by Bayern Munich. The football had regressed at such a sharp descent, I thought there is something seriously wrong. Poch began speaking in riddles, one week saying he wants out, the next committing himself to the club.
I still believe it was the right decision, but have since come to the conclusion that the guy just needed a break from football.
I would take him back in a heartbeat now.

Logical argument. Yeah, we did dip and I guess it did have the feel of a soured marriage towards the end but I think he deserved time to turn it around, he earned it. That said, even if he hadn't been sacked, he'd have jumped by now so it would never have been a long term stay. What annoys me now is the narrative that's gaining traction about him not doing enough with the squad we had. The reason our team looked world class at times was precisely because of him. He had them playing above their capabilities and without any backing from the board, the belief in the 'project' collapsed, but it wasn't Poch's fault. Blame lies further up for me.

Well...he's not getting disrespect in Europe from the likes of Juve and Barca. His name is on their shortlists. They know what he managed to do under ENIC's lack of backing!
He'll be back managing somewhere and soon, I think.

Poch should have won a trophy with a peak Ali Kane Ericsson Alderweld lloris Dembele Walker Rose etc You had a great team and little excuse other than you're Spurs. He's massively overrated by you guys. He's not a bad manager but he's not special in any way and was rightly fired for relegation form
This myth that if you spent 200m etc you would have won the league and CL because Liverpool did is hilarious. It's not that simple
You still have the opportunity, sell Kane like we sold Cout then invest back into the squad. Sell Ali too he's totally lost it. Your demise has been quite rapid
