Ljungberg quits

Freddie has left the building to pursue managerial career. Wish him all the best. Also means more power and responsibility for Arteta.

I hope this was Freddie's idea and that he was not forced out , he’s been a loyal servant to the club both on and off the field . Good luck Freddie and thanks

It was only a matter of time once Arteta came in, I know we all wish him well

Massive impact on our youth teams. Legend.

Great player. Was not convinced he was managerial material by his brief spell. Though to be fair a fresh start at a smaller may be exactly what he needs to build his reputation. I felt this was coming as soon as Arteta joined. Managers prefer to be surrounded by their own people.

His brief stint as caretaker coach and Arteta's promising start at Arsenal have encouraged him to test his coaching credentials elsewhere. And I hugely respect him for that, it's a much bigger challenge than punditry which has become an easy escape chute for retired players.

All the best Freddie, don't blame ya mate, I'd not have stuck around with all this crap either

I wish him all the success and good fortune he can carry.

I doubt he's been forced but I can see a scenario where he has no wish to stick around and be part of how we're going about things. When the board starts overruling managers to transfer list players against their will. Well the writing is on the wall that at the end of the day the club has 0 respect for it's coaching/management staff.

Arteta's the man and got told to feck off by the board, so the youth team coach will obviously get no say or control of his area at all. "Yeah ok, bye." Is the only thing anyone who refuses to be a puppet will say to that situation.

Was literally going to write the same thing last night but chose not to bother in the end because didn't want to sound negative about him. I think his short spell will have taught him that he has a lot to learn about managing the first team, I'm not convinced he'll ever be a great manager but good luck to him.
