Why would they need to halt it though? Fans can be withdrawn easily enough, if they are even back next season. And the players and staff are all tested regularly.

I guess they are thinking that even with the regular testing you are still getting players who do pick it up. If it managed to spread at the wrong moment then games would have to be postponed and moved and if this happened too much then they might decide to just cancel the season. With the Euros looking to happen they will not have the option of using summer to finish it.

True, but I wouldn’t be too concerned about this worst case scenario coming into effect tbh. Clubs should have imposed new safety measures, and coupled with the amount of testing the game is safer than probably any other industry. Although players will pick it up here and there as you say, unless there is a complete disregard for the situation at a particular club it should be ok to manage as it has since the restart really.

in the end they need a clear set of rules. that's all this is

if you have on the one hand people trying to figure out how to get 40% crowd back in and on the other you have people looking worst case then you really just have to let it play out.

nobody knows if covid is getting better or worse in terms of flu season, in terms of treatments and in terms of track and trace.

hopefully 20/21 is not too badly affected but it looks to me like vaccination is the only way you get crowds back.

Hopefully they will get the chance to guinea pig the crowds at non league!

To me it's pointless. Let's say it's implemented and say CFC are top then crowned champions with 12 games to go. Rivals will never stop goading them on a false victory and the CFC players will know it's not a proper title...hiw xan they go.yeah we won the title...response will be did you really, with 12 games to go....

50 % is low u want atleast 66.66% surely?

But if it does come to it itll be down to luck of the draw, atleast everyones in the same boat, stay at the top all the way just incase
