VC, Patience please VC re Matt Clarke. He was very decent last season. We have to get promoted first. I guess the CM decision is not simple. Great that we have settled the EFL challenge!

We appear to be in a far better position than the beginning of last season. Our squad was the weakest it had been since the days of Nigel Clough (who actually built a decent squad and was sacked). Hopefully the Dutch guy (not Zoon) will strengthen the centre of defence. We have a competent goal keeper. Marriott was looking sharper in the couple of friendlies we have played but I think we need one more attacker, Waghorn is too profligate with his chances and of course Martin has gone. The youngsters have stepped up to the plate to give us strength in depth but can't be relied on to be consistent over a whole season.

If only we could find a club stupid enough to take Flojo and Bellyache off our hands. 35 appearances between them last season, 0 goals, 0 assists. .

What more waste of money they were, when will we ever learn?

Rumour has it that Clark has just been told to track back to pick up one of Reading's strikers..............
