After trying to get him in previous transfer windows, when his agent himself ruled out the move to us, it seems like now, the agent is happy for his client to discuss any potential move.
At 21 years old, he is the one in demand in Italian top echelon.
Nicolo Zaniolo. I mentioned him at the end of last season as one who may appear in a Spurs shirt for the coming season. Though, at the time, there was no way the agent would have sanctioned this approach to discuss.
Spurs are a long term admirers of the lad, and he has been earmarked as the replacement for Eriksen.
A bid of £45m has already been turned down.
It seems like Spurs are hell bent on getting the player and another substantial bid should not be ruled out.
Now that his agent has agreed to discuss the move, it is surely the time when Spurs put in another serious bid for him.
On another front, Spurs are showing an interest in Real Madrid's left back, Sergio Reguilon, having secured the right back cover with Doherty move.
The Marca are reporting that Spurs have joined a host of teams inclduing premier league club United in the chase for the 23 year old.
He would cost around 20-25m euros.
It is going to be an interesting few days for Spurs in the transfer window.
The one Spurs want, really really want

Do you think you’d let alli go if there was any interest in him? What would reasonable price be you think

We would ask for more than anyone would pay because we don't want to sell

Interesting point. If we just considered that Alli has probably been least productive over the last few months, except that night at Amsterdam, one would be tempted to think so - i.e. think of Alli going.
However, Alli is Jose's favourite player. I think mainly because the guy has that knack of getting in the box in areas where defenders can't get to him and also his link up play sometimes, is out of this world.
I think Jose is relishing working with such a talent.
Alli needs to be nurtured back up and made to believe in himself and be asked to do 10% more as he is capable of that.
In the last two games, i have seen a revived Alli.
I am afraid Jose won't sell him. Maybe Lamela will be the one sold.

Now there are talks of Rakitic being approached. This is a story that is right now just a mere warm in the heat of what could become concrete. Slightly colder than rumours about Costa being reunited with Jose.

The coming season is going to be probably the most competitive yet. There won;t be 20 points gap anymore

Was just as an outsider looking in he hasn’t really been very productive bar when jose first took over. Wasn’t sure if the tide had turned on him or you’d think he’s worth sticking with. Totally get why he’d be joses fave player, on form gets great figures and has that niggly side I think jose loves

Yeh lets sell Dele and remove the last shred of creativity from our team. When Dele plays well, Spurs play well, and since Eriksen gave up and left, he has been our main creative spark.
Good to see Doherty coming in, he is an upgrade on Aurier and PL proven.
We still need a CF, AM, CB and maybe another CM if Ndombele leaves, to give us a capable squad

It would not bother me if we didn't sign an out and out striker like Ings or Wilson for example. I much rather another attacking winger with pace.
The reason being if Kane doesn't play because of an injury, I like the way Son excels when he is the main man plus when we play with him in a more central position, teams would not tend to play such a high line due to his pace. This would then allow the new player to back up Stevie B or Lucas or even challenge them. This is not based on today but everytime Kane has been injured in the past.
Currently with Kane, teams know they have the beating of him pace wise, so they can afford to play abit higher up the pitch which means we tend to sit back deeper turning us into a counter attacking team. With Son however, if he stays on the shoulder of the last CB, they will automatically drop off a few yards, because he has the beating of them pace wise. He is much quicker than Kane too.
Maybe in Jack Clarke or Sess we have that player already?
For me though, I would prioritise another CM to compliment PEH, Winks and Sissoko.
Once Aurier leaves and Doherty signs, CM is the position I would target next. Funded by the sale of TN.
Foyth is next to go for me as well and then we buy another right back to cover Doherty which mean we have Toby, Sanchez, Dier and Tanganga for the CB spots. If we go for another CB then Tanganga will be back up RB.
Back to the main point though, I rate Son as a CF so for me another out and out striker is not essential.

The squad ironically looking a bit nor balanced when we move players around.
we now have 3 right backs: Aurier Gedson Doherty
left back is still a worry for me but Cirkin might break through
We need another DM, in a worst case scenario I would suffer Foyth being pushed further forward into that role.
Son is showing we can play central with Lucas ans Bergwijn or Sessegnon
Lo Celso Alli and Lamela should be fighting for the non.10 role.
with all this said...would still like to see new DM, LB and CF then I think e are as good as we can be.
