Nice interview yesterday. Speaks great English and a nice down to earth lad keen to get started.

It's always nice to get a koch in.

I know I know it's not big and it's not hard.... But let's get these jokes out of the way early.

Lubo, I was going back to the 45m the club set aside for Bielsa, and in these two signings we've spent about 42m!..

Tongue in cheek I'm only saying that leaves about 2-3m for Bielsa!..

I have also said in the past I hope that 45m was only a let on so clubs don't know what we have and up their prices!..

Kinnear has said the budget is 75-100 million. So money should still be there, should we want anyone else.

Lubo, I've seen those reports as well, but Bielsa received originally a 45m budget!..

I've also said in the past that all the kids being brought in, I hope that had nothing to do with Bielsa's money knowing that it hadn't!..

My thoughts exactly. I keep telling myself that I've made my last Koch joke, then another one pops up!

In his interview he mentioned that he talked a lot with Bielsa prior to signing, including watching videos comparing our play to Freiburg's and showing how he would fit right in.

Again, the "Bielsa touch" (c) in action...

You can never tell where all these Koch jokes will take you. You just have to suck it and see

Oh dear, boys! A wonderful player but such an unfortunate name in England! No doubt all our competitors will have many jokes about the name too. I just hope he is such a good defender (who helps us get a few wins) that they will be too disappointed to feel like joking about him!

Pronounced Kosh hopefully by commentators !!

All signings are risky but on paper this looks like a great one, especially at the price being talked about.

I’m surprised there weren’t more interested parties in the lad (my only question mark really!)

wide other interest reported, both from Germany and the PL, but the way he talks seems that there was no other choice for him. Won round by the history, fans and manager.

With the possible exception of habib habibou, no one is ever signed without ‘interest’ from other clubs. Whether that interest materialises is usually reflected in the price. If a bigger club than us really wanted him, bielsa appeal or not, likelihood is they get him.

Maybe he’s a German lad who always wanted to play for Leeds in the Prem

Seriously I’m very happy with the signing - young German international on the cheap.. who wouldn’t be.
