Question

Every time I watch Eric Bailly play, I am convinced he's far superior to Lindelof : more composed, quicker, stronger, better on the ball, better at blocking shots, and more commanding in the air. But two of our managers, Jose and Ole, seem to have a definite preference for Lindelof. Do you have an idea why ?

As an oppo fan who likely watches Utd 20 odd times a year I’d rather play against Bailly. Think he’s awful

I've not really watched Lindelof that much, but he must be really bad because composed isn't an adjective I'd readily associate with Bailly.

There are only a few people on earth who are less composed than Victor Lindelof. Eric Bailly happens to be one of them.

Because Bailly can’t stay fit for 30 minutes.

This.

Also, Bailly's lack of game play has made him as comedic as David Luiz. His last game, I wasn't sure if he was going to score an own goal, assist the opposition in our box, or full well pick the ball up and put it in our net.

When he first came, I remember thinking how lucky we were to have him!

Because Bailly is the Ivorian Phil Jones.

Because Bailly is either a red card or an Injury waiting to happen.

It's a bit like the Valencia - Nani debate from yesteryear.

A lot of fans thought Nani was better, but the most successful manger in the history of the sport consistently picked Valencia ahead of him.

Nani was far more talented but you knew what you were getting with Valencia.
Valencia rarely had a bad game back in the day as a winger. He was consistent.
Nani on his day was unplayable, but that day didn't come often enough... On his bad days he was nowhere to be seen.

Lindletoff is terrible.
Prefer bailey.
Maguire is also pretty sh!te.
In fact all of our CBs are no better than average.
