I've been encouraged by our transfer business so far. I say "so far", because I think we need a couple more decent signings for it to be considered a good window,
Jose seems to be focusing on areas of the team that need strengthening and he's doing this by recruiting decent players with PL experience. Hopefully, this will significantly reduce the settling in period that non UK based players suffer when they join the PL (and Spurs in particular).
I was also encouraged by watching the Amazon doc yesterday.
Far too often I am left wondering if managers actually see what the fans see. I think the vast majority on here see Aurier as a liability and have commented on Dele's lack of form and desire. It was great to see these issue tackled head on by Jose in the team meetings.
It was also interesting to see Jose's team talks with the emphasis on strong mentality and telling the team to "play, play" and "be confident". This is in contrast to what I thought about him; as his tactics often seem negative. Maybe he's just a pragmatist and deals with the hand he's dealt? Let's see if performances and results improve this season. Whilst it's obviously too early to judge, I'm a little more optimistic this week, than I was last week!
Anyone feeling the same?

A full pre season under new management, the players starting to believe as per the end of last season.
Defence starting to look like a defence, Midfield will be better with a proper dm.

Then Uefa come along and f*ck us over with their stupid Europa draw format. Which basically means we are already committed to 6000+ miles travelling, with the play off round still to come, where we will no doubt be drawn away to god forsaken place the other side of Europe. All while the season has already started.

Would love to see a statement signing and exit though. Get rid of Dele and replace him with someone far superior for instance.
As for the manager... not convinced one bit that he will change his style personally I find it dull, reactive and so far as cowardly to give so much ball to the opposition. Its not in the clubs DNA and is turgid to watch.
For me he needs to win the Europa League and a title challenge this year to justify his excessive salary and terrible football.
