What’s your expectations ?

For me personally, there is no more excuses with this group of players and club anymore. It’s about time they step up and start putting silverware in the cabinet before we lose everything we have built over the last 10 years. If Arsenal can win trophies with that poor team, I see no reason why Spurs can’t end this ridiculous baron spell of 0 trophies every single season.

We are still short of having a good enough team to get Top 4, especially with the ridiculous spending power of Chelsea this window and United suddenly waking up with the VDB signing from Ajax, plus no doubt will be even more active before the season. Levy simply must not standstill this summer and start playing his stupid games he seems to love to adopt. Our current signings are decent If unspectacular , but if he thinks our current signings are enough to secure top 4, they most definitely are not!!!

It’s time this club, who have raked in more profit than any club in the league, start showing they mean business on the pitch and not just off it. Us fans couldn’t give a flying f** about when the next Lady Gaga concert is coming up, what we want it to see all this hard work pay off and for us to actually implement that with success. By success I mean win trophies and not just trying to get top 4. Getting top 4 and getting to finals, but losing is not success.

My expectations ? I want to see Levy back our manager all window and not just for a couple of signings. Give him all the tools needed to get a top 4 place and win a trophy. Even if it’s Top 4 and the league cup, then that’s a start. As I always say, winning breeds success and if we get top 4 and bag a league cup, then we go next season aiming for higher. Top 4 and 1 trophy this season is a must at all costs.

In the same way Poch was never backed whatever happens next season I want King Jose in charge for the next season for the following reasons.

1. It will rattle his haters LOL
2. Another managerial change will put us back another year or two.
3. Whatever happens next season he is still the best man available to change the loser mentality our team has.
4. Only Pep and Klopp can come close to his CV and as both will be out of reach for us, King Jose is the best man for the job and a clear candidate to help us win trophies.
5. He needs more funds and hopefully once covid dies down and crowds are allowed back into stadiums, revenues should stream back in thus allowing more funds for transfers. He still has amazing pulling power with players.
6. See number 1 again because it pleases me so much

Liverpool had an equally exciting turn around. Their players were not crying, they knew that hadn't quite won the trophy yet.

I believe the club view reaching the final as success. I think they will think that now. The club didn't need to win the trophy, whereas Liverpool had to.

There is the difference.

I don't demand the player loves the club. I demand they work their socks off and always try. It's for me and other fans to love the club.

I forked out aver a grand to to fly to Madrid, hotels, my ticket, beer, food etc. I did that for love of the club.

I am not ashamed to admit that I also feel so let down by this club at times.

Liverpool were rubbish in the final along with us, and actually they have been in general under Klopp. It took for them to meet bigger bottlers to finally get a win in one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure that we've been rubbish in finals. With the exception of a second half against Sevilla in the Europa in his first season, we have played ok. Real Madrid was two horrific keeper mistakes and the greatest goal in a CL final and City beat us on pens once.
It was a poor final though. The early goal actually killed it. That and a 3 week break between PL end and CL final.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Given how well you had done in the league compared to us I was expecting a better performance from you in that CL performance. There was hardly anything in it other than a Sissoko handball and you having a bit more strength in depth with Origi.

Maybe your performances in finals haven't all been rubbish but it's a pretty poor record to have 1 win in 4 finals, or 1 in 5 if you include the Charity Shield (it is a chance at a trophy after all).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Lost 3 of those 5 on pens to be fair... and we didn't play well in the Spurs game, but we didn't have to. We were supremely confident defensively and once an early goal was scored, we didn't have to do anything. It was a really poor game but we did what we had to.

Sorry, but describing it as "scoring a goal" is a bit steep. Mane basically kicked the ball against the arm of Sissoko, who was pointing to one of our players behind him whilst looking in totally the other direction, telling someone to mark up. The ref, as usual fell for it and basically killed the game in the first minute.

Yep. Mane has the ability to play balls off the chest and directly into the arm of a player. And sissoko was looking straight at Mane .
And scoring a goal isn't steep. We scored a goal. The rest of the game was spoilt by your team.

There is less than a zero chance that penalty would have been given down the other end of the pitch if it was a Spurs player kicking the ball at a Pool players shoulder.

The referee could not wait to give it, he changed the entire dynamic of the game in the first 30 seconds and more or less gifted Pool a CL win. The sad thing is, there was no real shock when it happened, I saw some kind of incident along those lines coming, and even said so before the game kicked off.

My expectations are pretty low.

I will take this season one game at a time.
I do not expect Levy to do much trading and less spending.
We'll be going with what we've got.
First off, can we beat Locomotive whatever?
I do not expect top 4.
I do not expect to win any FA tin pot

.But hope springs eternal...................so
I hope ENIC sells out to a rich new owner who wants to win stuff.
Then Spurs will arise again from the ashes

There is nothing worse than fans wishing for a sugar daddy to come along and throw unearned billions at the club to buy success. Very sad aspiration. Its like growing up with the ambition of being a football WAG.

I'd much rather do it the organic way. It's like losing weight by having a liposuction rather than exercise. It's the easy way to do it. Far more rewarding via the other means.

Those who think anything will be won with ENIC in charge are simply pissing in the wind.
How long have you been waiting so far?
How much longer do you want Harry Kane to waste his playing years?
Great Spurs fans.... those who wait for ENIC to deliver, while Liverpool, ManCity, ManU, and Chelsea and even the Arsenholes, march on!
