On the Waverley

A quiet day today said Mrs Tully, as the Waverley was returning to Brodick she hit/ran aground on the slip and passengers went flying. Ambulances taking off some people. Damage to the bow - so unfortunate given her recent boiler refit. We all have to leave the ship now - walking off.

I loved the argument with the US Aircraft carrier and the radar contact they had... They kept telling them to move out the way in case of a collision.. The contact kept saying 'No you'll have to move'

It transpired their radar contact was a lighthouse...

Was doon Gosport the night of the mad storm 1987. First time I let the young lady touch my John Thomss. Mind it well, she's never touched it since.

I did my BFAT course at Gosport. It was a ghost town then. Around 2010 I think.

Thankfully I lived near Winchester so just drove back and forth
