Romero to Chelsea?

Report out that Chelsea are looking at him as a replacement for Kepa. He's third choice now so it would be a good move for him. Though selling to a direct rival might be an issue.

To be fair Romero would be a big upgrade over Kepa. If I was Man Utd manager I would sell De Gea.

Sounds like a master plan pal. Let DDG join Chelsea for free, they’ll get even weaker with him in goal, this way you’ll finish above Chelsea once again.

A simple swap,DDG for Kepa !

Not sure who would benefit that deal after ddgs last few years!

I'd still prefer our guy over yours

Slim margins and that. Kepa was decent two years ago god awful last year. Ddg has had a turbulent two years to say the least.

Arguably slim margins but DDG is still the better keeper because he was more than just decent when he was at his best and proved it over at least 4 or 5 seasons.
The Spanish manager would still appear to favour de gea and his performance last night has justified his faith, which can only be promising from a utd perspective.

Yeah I’m only shooting the breeze. No getting away from how poor kepa was last year

It has been mad seeing ddgs decline though. He probably had the best 3 years of any keeper I’ve seen in this league (bar maybe cech) but due to the years either side of that he has to be behind the two big petes when it comes to pls greatest keepers

Both are at major crossroads in their respective club careers theres no doubt. De gea has probably used up most of his credit and needs to step it up with Henderson now breathing down his neck.

Think Dean will play all Cup and maybe even CL games to start off with and De Gea the PL. If De Gea still makes costly mistakes, then Dean will take his place and De Gea will have the Cup games.

Romero is a good keeper, but there is a reason why he hasn't dislodged De Gea and has been mostly a number 2 in his career. Chelsea probably are looking at this as a cheap stop gap as he is better then Kepa and Willy there.

I like the lads confidence BUT think he is getting ahead of himself if he thinks he will just step in and replace DDG.

And just think of the nonsense coming our way if Henderson makes a couple of blunders early on ?

Stick with DDG until he makes a serious mistake
