Swedens plan vindicated

Goes to show our government massively overreacted to this virus and have caused more problems than they avoided.

I’m not advocating for everyone to sit at home until there’s a vaccine.

But there is a need to break the back of the virus so to speak before letting everyone loose again. I live in NZ, i work in essential services as part of the food supply chain, i worked right through.

Other people didn’t, we got rid of it, it came back and we managed the area it came back into. It’s allowed the country and very priveledged position of recovering quicker than others.

Dread to think what the country will be like in a years time. The unemployment will be at least 15 20 percent.

Just seen one of those street singers in my town who has with him a contactless machine to give him a tip, how depressing, step closer to being a cashless society and every negative that comes with it

I love being cashless. Quicker, cleaner, easier and I’ve earned about 1000,000 air miles in the last 4 years. Haven’t paid for a flight in ages

It also gives banks the power to freeze people's money "for their own good".

I don’t really keep much in the bank other than a rainy day fund. Everything else is invested elsewhere and can easily be accessed without a bank account or cash

Big difference is that Sweden could go for herd immunity because they had the resources in reserve to do so. We didn't.

Just shows what can be done when you have well funded public services. We prefer tax cuts.
