New season same old nonsense
Forums & Twitter awash with bitterness about penalties being awarded to the top sides
With the style of play Liverpool & Utd I would expect to get more penalties than most as they both generally dominate the ball and attack the box with pace
I would expect Leicester to get plenty for the same reason but not as many as they don’t dominate the ball as much
City won’t get as many because they rely more on movement off the ball
Vast majority of penalties like the 2 Liverpool got on Saturday are penalties you would expect to be given, just don’t see the controversy
Tottenham supporters seem to be the most up in arms about anything to do with Liverpool which is equally bewildering
It’s like Spar having a spat with Waitrose
It’s all a bit weird
Penalty nonsense

Yeh, sure you’d call it harsh if it were against Liverpool.

I reckon the official is corrupt myself.
Must be the only explanation.

Another absolute shocker today.
Right or wrong, if the people running the game think they’ve improved it with the way the handball law is now, they’re idiots.

I think people were saying that’s against the rules though?

The rules aren’t entirely clear - they talk about a silhouette position.
But even if it’s a correct decision within the rules, surely no one with half a brain and watch that and think this is a sensible rule?
