Davies - 3

Hojbjerg - 4

I used to say players such as Dier, Davies, Dele, Aurier etc should only be squad players but I think we need to be more ruthless and replace them.

Davies and Dier were worryingly poor yesterday. It appears that Jose has blind faith in some pretty average players of ours, but on the flip side he may be getting fully behind them as he knows the club won't spend money to replace them properly - i.e. he's stuck with them.

Longer term I would look to keep:

Kane
Son
Lo Celso
Ndombele
Bergiwjn
Doherty
Hojbjerg
Winks (at a push)

I really would not be upset if any of the others were sold, they're not good enough. We haven't got bags of cash to spend so we need to pray that Steve Hitchin and the board can uncover some gems.

Thee ratings are generous compared with what is on the BBC website.

Not to mention all the other pro Everton - anti Spurs articles. Like everyone else, they are having a field day. All because the team everyone hates ( for some strange reason ) lost by one goal.

This is a bit ridiculous to be honest Steve. If you made an article about it, it would have more substance. I think you should do it.

Think the worrying part of yesterday was seeing a number of our players playing with fear. When Winks first came on the scene a few years ago and he received the ball he would immediately turn and look to play the ball forward..Yesterday in the first half and with no one near him with his back to the opposition he would pass back to our defenders time and time again. And on the few occasion he did turn there was no one available to receive the ball and try and prise Everton open. Our link up and playmaker Dele was nowhere to be seen and rightly subbed.
Lo Celso a big loss yesterday.

At least Dier trying to control a high ball with his instep with the ball flying off at 50 miles an hour made me laugh. Trying hard to get the image out of my head.

Moura's ball control is more of a worry than Dier's.

Agree, you never know what you'll get with him..
He still has some credit left with me though for his Ajax demolition.

According to Jenas, Rodrigues showed Spurs what they were missing. Well if that's the case then Allan showed Spurs what they could have won if they did their homework.
