Leeds Utd v Hull City Matchday Thread

Cup Games, Love em or Loathe em, a necessary evil or just a complete embuggerance
Still, gives some lower League teams a cash injection (in normal times) and a chance to compete against the Big Boys

Venue...Elland Road...Date...16th Sept...Kick Off 1945hrs

Team News
Leeds United
A number of youngsters are expected to feature, with the likes of Charlie Cresswell and Oliver Casey missing from the under-23s defeat at Stoke on Monday evening.

The game with Hull also gives us all an opportunity to see club-record signing Rodrigo possibly make his full debut for the Whites.

Hull City
Can't find owt yet but I'd expect them to be up for this and name a pretty strong squad.
In saying that this report could indicate changes..."Max Sheaf, Callum Jones, James Berry, Jacob Greaves and Martin Samuelsen all featured in the 2-0 victory at the KCOM Stadium, which saw a brace from Berry seal victory thanks to a goal in each half.

Greaves, Jones and Samuelsen were all withdrawn on the hour mark by boss Andy Dawson, while Berry and Sheaf remained on for the full 90 minutes."

(there's also streams on F/book and Twitter I believe )

Match facts
Nowt available yet ( although we did thump them last season )
Will try and update when i get a chance )

Here we go then, a run out for some fringe players and young lads, League Cup not being taken too seriously by most clubs it seems , I'll go for a 3-0 Win for us with Rodrigo opening his account with 2 and Alioski getting the other

It's a simple game to play,moron

But too difficult for you to understand?

First team lose to Liverpool despite a good performance, 2nd string lose to Hull, U23's lose heavily to Stoke, kids lose to Accrington Stanley.

Though losing in the Mickey Mouse cups shouldn't be a concern, we need to kick start the season with a win on Saturday before losing starts to become ingrained.

Technically we drew with Hull tonight...

Know what you mean though, we need a win to hopefully kick start our season

I think the club have bigger issues than a few sixteen year olds being beaten by Accrington.

One has to wonder, if football is such a simple game, why isn't Lowfields the best coach in the world

Should be called the ‘Don't CareAbou’ cup. Chill out guys, this season the league is all that matters!

Agreed! Giving lads a run out was more important. No injuries to worry about and we will be ready for Fulham!

hmm, I agreed with this stance a lot of over the last few years, and still, to a point now.. but can;t help but think I was wrong this time last season when I argued with another poster on winning is a habit...

I would of liked to win last night and if I'm honest, I'm pretty annoyed we didn;t play that well too.

I really do hope we beat Fulham on Saturday, otherwise the panic will set in a bit... not saying I'm going full the Donn, but it would be nice to get a win on the board

i think that winning is a habit if it is basically the same players, not a wholesale change?

well yeah Kamy that was more my argument last year, totally different players were playing for the cup game.. just thinking about last night though - would of been good to go into the Fulham game with the winning feeling
