Reguilón

Off to Spurs by the looks of things, with Ornstein insisting hours ago that we held discussions but no agreement with Real.

Proof that these ITK journos know more than your mate down the pub.

If Spurs sign him it just shows what they are all about.

Typical short term thinking from Jose. Bale will have what, 1 or 2 seasons? If he performs?

Reguillon - if he succeeds, Real Madrid will by him back and either keep or sell him for a tidy profit.

I'm delighted that we have shown we won't be bullied by Dortmund or Madrid.

Yeah we lose out on targets but it's the right thing to do.

If players don't want to push to play for United, we don't want them here. Simple as that really. We move on.

Out first team is pretty good, just a couple of depth signings is the best we can hope for in this market. If we do that we will be alright next season.

Cant believe you guys are so upset at some ITK being exposed as a bull5hit artist

On the contrary, I think everyone is just quite amused by your stupidity.

You still can't seem to see how dumb your article was despite this one practically spelling it out for you.

Romano 😄😁😆😅🤣

What? Do you think I am some sort of Romano fan boy or something?

Pretty odd way of looking at things.

How do you know Madrid didn't make their conditions clear from the start and that United chose to forge ahead anyway, agree terms with the player, and think that from that position strong-arm Madrid into accepting their terms? Or that it wasn't Reguilón's agent who misled United into thinking that Madrid would waive the buyback clause at the last minute?

Again with Dortmund, how do you know United aren't working on the assumption that in a depressed market and after agreeing personal terms, they will be able to force the German club into selling? How the hell are BvB trying to bully United by asking what they consider is a fair valuation? Sancho's made incredible progress with them, they can reasonably expect him to sustain his performance levels next season or even continue to improve, and benefit from a) another great season from the player, b) increased market value, and c) better market conditions (presuming that by next summer we're in a post-Covid situation). If BvB don't really need to sell at this stage, why should they?

It might be worth remembering too that BvB quite recently found themselves in similar circumstances with Dembélé and that Barça finally blinked first. Interestingly enough, Barça also seemingly walked away, only to rush the deal through as the transfer deadline approached.

This last bit should be a warning. How has Dembele done at Barca? They're willing to sell him at a 100m loss due to his loss of form and injuries.

There's no knowing how it might work out, but it's neither here nor there as regards the notion of BvB trying to 'bully' you.

That was someone else's point, it's why I didn't address a reply to that.

My issue with the club is that they're getting bogged down on this when they should move on to other deals.

That and there is no point haggling if they're going to end up doing the same as they did with Maguire

You're right, sorry. Was rushing around and didn't notice you'd cropped off the rest of the comment.
