Sancho - it's gone all quiet

and looks like spurs are getting Reguilon and Bale. Not that disappointed at those two not signing to be honest. It looks like Reguilon will always have an eye on returning to Madrid, and Bale doesn't feel right at this point in time (2-3 years ago certainly).

However, the Sancho saga is another frustrating and avoidable situation. It's a priority position and a signing that undoubtedly makes us better. Would the money that we are not spending on a LB be better used getting the Sancho deal over the line? If we end up with no more signings this window, I think we'll have a struggle this year.

What I don’t understand is why, at least from the outside looking, does Woodward not have a back up plan and always just pays the asking price
___

He has. And its happening right now with the Sancho negotiations.

Who blinks first.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why would Dortmund blink if they want to keep the player at the club?

There’s no blinking to be done on their part.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ed's learned a lot over the past 7 years, he's going to squirt lemon juice in Zorc's eyes.

I get the impression that they want the player more than that, and have decided that if their mega-demand isn’t met, they’ll happily keep him.

But they know they are dealing with Man United and Ed, who really want the player. They have even agreed terms with the player apparently.

Dortmund are banking on that history says United will pay at the 11th hour if they don't budge.(Money is no object dont forget).

However they might be wrong and this time United will decide to walk away rather than cough up. Means we don't improve the squad this summer and take another step backwards. Plus a load more disgruntled United fans on the owner back. If that bothers them much.

So who will blink first... before the deadline looms?

Watch this space.

The ball is in our court, and I think the resolution will be one of two possible eventualities: we pay up in full, or we walk away.

There’s only United to blink. I think if Ed is waiting for Dortmund to, Sancho will still be a Dortmund player this season.

Dunno. Im sure Dortmund would still like a one-off payment of say £80million+ in their account next week if they cant get their £100m+ they are after.

Its not that anybody else is queueing to pay that kind of money for this wonder kid who I predict will be at best, probably the new Theo Walcott.

It could be United or nothing for Dortmund. 'United, we saw you coming'.

Dortmund can get the same price next summer, so why would they choose to harm this season right at the end of the window.

Think you lot need to accept that it really isn’t in United’s hands no matter what they do.

because United might not wait another year and spunk the money on somebody else next week.

Sancho is not worth 100m plus. Spending that kind of money you want a 100% proven player he is not. He plays in the German league, Where 85% of the teams are Sh*te. He find it much tougher playing Leeds away then SC Freiburg
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he's proven as much as he can tbf at his current age and the team/league he plays for. More than any other player his age in Europe possibly.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can only play what he’s up against, and has done a damn fine job so far. That said 100m is utter nonsense..
