Sounds like he was offered to Madrid as part of the Bale/LB deal but they had no interest. Perhaps you can only live on past glories for so long or perhaps he's paying for his slack attitude/ work rate... It's not like Jose hasn't tried/ given him plenty of chances
I did wonder if someone was gonna pay the price when Jose arrived, i thought it was gonna be NDombele but looks like money talks here and Dele on current form is expendable... This might also be a BIG message to the squad that an "untouchable" can be bombed out if standards are not met
On the upside... i guess this means GLC is fit

Don't disagree but just seems weird to drop him knowing the spec about him as a makeweight for Bale this week and having dropped him at halftime on sunday... Why not bring him, not play him and there's no story

We played way better with Dele on the field than we did with him off it.
He may not have had the best game, in fact he misplaced a lot of passes, however he was one of the few who linked up midfield and attack
