Makes his full debut for Watford tonight in the EFL Cup against Newport County. He’ll play in a midfield three. Kickoff is 7pm.

Came on after 70 mins in the 0-0 draw with Sheff Wednesday on Saturday to make his Championship bow and was (unsurprisingly) credited with bringing a fresh urgency to proceedings.

I see Watford are 2-0 down.

Looking at the squad numbers of those involved, I feel a bit sorry for Garner being selected. Hope that's not indicative of where he'll be in the pecking order
