I guess this’ll be a window we look back on and wonder why we spent it strengthening areas of relative strength, whilst ignoring glaring weaknesses. Meanwhile our rivals are signing world class players. My August optimism for this season has gone down the drain.

With all the negative press about re transfers, would we really haggle over a few million, especially given ¥35m on Donny is a relatively cheap window do far

It could all be BS as you said, but the guy only has one year left on his contract. I don't blame United for not wanting to pay the release clause, if it is true

Sadly it seems the transfer window is closed for us
If we could get a LB and a top CB I would be happy otherwise we are going into a season very short and the outcome may be worse than last season.
