PSG taking Baka AND Rudi off our hands...

Would be too good to be true.

Rudiger being moved on once again illustrates how much power and control Frank has (as if that wasn't already clear with the disposement of Roman favorite and big character Luiz in the last summer window) suffers no fools

Massive vote of confidence and statement of intent for future prospects.

One signing away from securing all his targets.

Frank: "There are many things that I see day to day - interactions when players are training, how they act around the training ground.
Are they positive influences with the team-mates around them? Those things come into my thinking."

“It’s to build a positive group that wants to win and move forward daily, and that means through tough times, because that’s the easiest time to be negative. It’s what we are trying to build so when you bring in players of course you look very closely at personality.

“Whether it’s a new player or a player who’s been here before, they just have to want the best for Chelsea. Selfish reasons behind it will all come good after that. If we can get a successful group, then we’ll all be happy.”

Frank insinuating that Rudi is not a positive influence moving forward. Bust-up could very well have been true.
Explains why Silva was bought as the short-term experienced CB, to replace outgoing Rudiger.
Suffers. No. Fools.

Thankfully hierarchy are not using some silly strawman argument to keep him at the club, had very little to do with the signings of Werner & Havertz.
Frank was the crucial factor in them signing.

Great time to offload Rudiger, with two-year left on his contract.
Whilst Frank' number one CB AC will sign a new long-term contract at Chelsea

Done and Dusted.

Hey Hey! That's no way to talk about our best CB.
Wash your mouth out with soap young chap.

Wasted potential, I don't know why Christensen turned out to be such a disappointment. He was really good when he played in Germany

I wonder whether it may be due to playing in a back three. His best moments in his career at club senior level (Mochengladbach and first half of season with Conte) came playing in a back three.

You're talking like Christensen is past his prime, Wahl.
Still relatively young at 24. Long way to go in his career especially as a CB when one naturally matures into late 20s/early 30s.

Frank very much takes that into consideration and is more than happy to extract the best out of him before discarding.
Determined never to make the same mistakes that previous managers made of ostracising and ultimately discarding, only for those top talents to go on to be elite.

This season & next will be the real litmus test and defining season for a lot of players.

Rudiger is only 27 and has performed at a consistently high standard for us for two seasons until last season where he struggled because of the injury. Tomori is younger than christensen and is more likely to make good on his potential than christensen.

I think if we sell a CB it should be Zouma or Christensen. It's worth persisting in Rudiger and showing him a little loyalty.

Rudiger has had a lot of damaging injuries (relating to his knees) and already hit his potential ceiling couple of years ago.
There's nothing more than can be got out of him in Frank' set-up, to my mind. Good time to offload.

Apart from discarding Hudson Odoi without giving him a chance
