Lots of talk of where we can finish this season, with some people saying top half is possible.
I was discussing with my old man today how we would fair in the FA cup. Would you fancy us to go full strength and see if we can make the semi’s/final?
Outside of the City/Liverpool, there isn’t a side I’d rule us out against in a one off match.
I hope we put the first time out personally.
How far can Leeds go?

12th place and 5th round of FA Cup at best

bats we're talking about how leeds will do here.
myself i have arsenal finishing better than 12th and you usually do well in the fa cup

12th place would be an excellent season for Leeds 🤷♂️

I’d be happy with 12th, by the way We are the biggest club he’s managed

I think Bielsa teams do burn out !! IMO He trains them so hard and over a course of a season you’ll have more points for it, but I do think they burn out, I don’t think he allows ample rest for the human body to recover enough, it’s recommended for pro athletes to take a week off at some point every 8 - 12 weeks .. this allows your body to recover and repair, even the fittest of us are not machines.
As far as pro football is concerned, admittedly I don’t know for sure but bigger squads who can rotate can allow rest time.. in training sessions I wonder if they
allow for rested players somehow, saunas etc
Maybe maybe not but the science of humans at the top of their fitness need rest, as rest, sleep, as defo not to be underestimated,
it all suggests that Bielsa training = burn out earlier, again, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing because training hard gets you playing well and gets you more points in the course of a season.

Derby have 16 mid week games this season
Leeds have 6
Most of the time we play one a week.
So I don't know why people think burnout is going to be an issue.
There is far more downtime and recovery time in the premiership.
In fact on a personal level I'm a little gutted that we don't gwt two games a week and have to now make do with one

Matty, totally agree there’s more rest time in the premier

League cup aint worth winning, but FA cup is. Sides around the top 10 have the cup as there number 1 priority. Nobody is out running Liverpool or City, so why not try and win the cup.

His Spanish and French teams both burned out. It's his trademark weakeness. We'll see if he fairs better with us.

In terms of the articles question... and with in mind of my previous comments I reckon we’ll continue a cracking stacking start.. improving every week and have a little lull in January, then be fairly inconsistent till May, finishing 10th. Which is a decent season, it won’t feel like it at the time because of second half of season but we’d all take that now I think.
