In his defence, he’s has zero service. He nearly made a penalty with a lovely bit of play alongside Fernandes, but if he doesn’t get the ball in the right positions he isn’t going to perform.

Yeah he wasn’t great. But Pogba, Matic, Lindelof, Shaw and AWB were also terrible in spells.

I thought Shaw had a decent game and Matic was comfortably our best outfield player.

Other than De Gea everyone was poor today. Bruno and Rashford improved 2nd half but other than that it was dreadful.

I counted Shaw give the ball away 4 time in the first half hour, Maguire saved him from putting their striker through too.

Matic lost every 50/50 and kept giving it away early on too, but did settle:

Easy to say now as we didn’t win the thing but in hindsight we probably should have left the 1st XI at home for that tournament.

we just looked shattered at the end of last season, so it was easyish to say before the EL to be honest, there were certainly quite a few saying it on here.

Pogba shouldn’t be playing in a two. We shouldn’t play this formation. I am sick of saying it.

Anyway whatever happens we need additions this week even if they are stop gaps.

I still don't believe he even wants to be a no.9 himself. Whenever he gets frustrated, he drifts over to the left wing.

Get a proper RW and start moulding Greenwood into a no.9.

Yes, I thought Matic was our best player today. Consistently the one who looked like he was thinking tactically whenever he had the ball.
