The one United got would have been given last season before this idiotic rule change

apparently they showed a replay on amazon and the ball was not over the line. not sure 40 yards away, and from towards the halfway line, is the best angle to judge those sorts of things.

Corner or not, there was enough clear evidence of official favoritism towards Utd. All apparently within the law, but way too many instances to suggest nothing is going on. Plus not the first time. It seems to happen every time this lot play.

Also, did I not see the referee blow the final whistle after the corner was initially cleared ? Does the word final now mean I can go back in time if it suits me.

Should we now re visit the Hand of God goal from '86 or perhaps Geoff Hurst's goal in the '66 world cup, and award the World Cup to West Germany ?

Feel really sorry for Brighton, who played well, hit the woodwork 5 times, and still had the game taken away from them.

VAR is slowly killing the game, apart from one club, who are thriving because of it.

Faccck VAR now overrules the final whistle decided the game is still on and asks the ref to give a pen? WHere are we? Colombia?

Agreed the current rules can lead to annoying judgements, but.........
try drafting a handball rule yourself........
and then see how many annoying consequences it will allow!

Well, after today's game I have to say "you are right"!
This rule cannot be any worse.
Poor Dier knew nothing about it, facing opposite direction, gets hit in the back of the arm while jumping...penalty!
If this rule is not changed I do not think football will be worth watching.
Every time you get to kick the ball into the opponent's penalty area you just look to hit someone on the arm. Game over!
