And we think the problem is missing players. Maybe lampard hasn't got it.

Why are you playing Alonso

Why are we passing backwards to the cbs all the time

Why is Alonso on the pitch

Why is Alonso on the effing pitch

Why are we playing 2 strikers and one playing as a winger

Why is the captain not playing at lb where he is clearly better than alonso.

Why are we playing a formation that requires wingers and we are not playing any wingers.

Why are we still passing when we have got nothing to lose, just get the ball to the forwards as quickly as possible and stop putting pressure on our defenders

This is truly disturbing from lampard if by now he can't settle on a team and formation after 15 months.

What a crp weekend this is.

Why is Alonso on the pitch

If alonso don’t play we win the game. Simple as.

You've spent 200 million and you haven't fixed the main problem, your defence. Why did you sign Harvetz you didn't need him. Give Willian what he wanted and Mount's continuing development meant you would of saved 80 odd million which could of been spent on a top centre half instead you got Thiago Silva who is about 3 years past his best, madness really.

Pretty obvious. Lose alonso we transform the team. Add. A gk and it’s different. Most logical people can see that

Shocking from lampard. Alonso has had enuf of these games to be thrown out the club..
Cho on the left, wow! Transformed
Lampard trying to fit all his toys in the pram and its not working out.

Funny thing all the money spent most of the new buys on the pitch and all the goals were score by academy products.

Team performance as a whole over 90 minutes wasn't terrible at all, silly individual errors. We've played worse than that & been leading at H/T. Could argue it was systematic of underling issues, 100% correct, but as a 45 minute period of football in isolation it didn't concern me.

Lamp's H/T changes were perfect, even the change within the second half putting CHO on the left was correct. The change after the second goal was impulsive, broke the momentum & and I'm pretty sure if he was more experienced he wouldn't have made it (was a naïve, rush of blood move), he got lucky cos IMO we were on track to win that after CHO's goal. If he learns from it, no worries

At H/T I was a lot calmer than I should've been, I knew if Lamps made the correct changes & we scored the first goal the game was well within our reach. Last week I was unsure how I felt, after that I feel cautiously optimistic in a bizarre way. Would've been easy for them to give up (like they kind of did last week after the red card) but they didn't.

Yeah I feel ok now because he has to drop duds like Alonso. Lampard has to learn quick because the last change really killed momentum and was so risky leaving AC as the only cb in the team.
CHO on the left is the player we have been waiting for, everytime he got the ball you could sense the wba players were worried.

OP, I'd like to agree with you but it wasn't that good.

Depends on your prospective. I see what you're saying but I understand where the club were coming from.

Talking about CB's we'd need you're talking best of the best to lead the line type of guy (the VVD figure). Koulibaly's too old to justify the price & Upamecano signed a new deal this summer. Havertz was available now, potentially world class player with guaranteed re-sale value if he reached it, and this was our only window of opportunity, had to seize it. Pragmatic long term decision.

We'll buy a top class CB within the next 12 months. Might even buy Rice (a half measure) before this window closes.
