Only place he should be registered for is a Dignitas clinic.

Yeah, if Ozil can't even make the bench for a third round Carabao Cup tie, not much point in giving him a place in the squad.

Can see this being Arteta and Arsenal's last throw of the dice re. trying to move him on. For a start, if that were to happen, it would finally shut down all the online noise about him.

Wouldn't be at all surprised after that were we to reach a 'mutual agreement' with him, and see him leave for MLS 6 months earlier than he planned as a free agent.

Maybe he'll be reintroduced when the TW ends.

Would probably mean we didn't get Aouar though...

Only if Arteta wants to throw away all progress and go backwards. A comment about "his (Ozil's) teammates towards the end of last season, does make me think that it's the other players who have ultimately put pay to Ozil playing again. He's saying he'll give 100% Arteta (aware of huge resentment thus the threat to newly thriving team chemistry/attitude) has asked the team how they'd feel about it. Of the view that he'll play him only if the others are ok with it.

Idea floated among the squad and 24 players said "FECK THAT, all he does is quit on us anyway. Let him rot!" Or words to that effect. And here we are now. Ozil is done and needs to stay that way. Personally I hope the rest of the team have outright threatened to strike if he's given a spot again.

Doubt it. Reckon he burned the final bridge with that interview to the Athletic.
He really should leave; even Bale hung up his golf clubs and sought redemption with a club he ditched.

Difference is Bale done the ditching. Whereas Ozil has been ditched...TWICE now

Bale was very publicly ditched by Zidane though
