Incredible, I was critical of Brendan last season but he has not put a foot wrong so far. Tactically outwitted Pep yesterday, he himself even said he changed his style for this game, the first time in his 13 year managerial career!

Looks like he's really learnt from our collapse last season. a shout of for Amarty as well, fair play to him he was good yesterday after nearly 2 years since his last PL game!

Oh and Vardy = legend.

I’m still buzzing this morning from that result

Be good to know more about Evan’s and Praet’s injuries. Vardy was playing down his as well but that looked worrying to me.

This season is going to be long and hard with our squad size and the amount of games we’ve got.

With regards to Maddison. Do we think he was left out for tactical reasons yesterday or still fitness? I really liked his work rate when he came on - he knew he would have to track back and did it with energy and commitment.

Evan Jonnies.

Maddison played like a man who figured he was playing for his place. Which is good to see, to be fair. He knew he had to produce to get into the squad. He wasn't in the starting lineup due to the fine form of others, particularly Dennis Praet. Terribly unfortunate to pick up an injury just as he was cementing a place. Hopefully he won't be out for long, back for when the Europa League group stages start and the fixtures start piling up. We may know more about his injury later today.

I get the impression they took Evans off partly as a precaution, but you never know with these things. Vardy I believe is managing the situation, so a week off and an upcoming international break (!) may be a good thing there.

Lol Joby and Dunge 😂

This is the first I’ve heard of this Vardy injury. Wonder how long it’s been a thing or if we’re playing it down. Certainly isn’t affecting his goal scoring form 🙃

Really hope Praet hasn’t done anything serious to his knee. That would be a real blow.

Amartey suddenly looks like a brilliant squad player to have around for a Europa league campaign. Who would have seen that coming!!! With Mendy on fire, next we’ll be seeing Slimani coming back in the frame and finding out he’s the new Shearer!!!

The only way I can see him emulating Shearer, based on his ability, is if he were to kick Neil Lennon in the head

Whilst whinging about it and threatening not to play. Yeah, you’re probably right.

Yes, I was there to see this. It was close to the touch line by the Main/Carling Stand whatever. Shearer wasn’t even booked for it.
