The handball rule....not rocket science

In my opinion there should be a rule change and a Ref should only make one of two decisions.

At the point of contact was the ball heading towards the target.

If yes....penalty
if no......indirect freekick in the box.


These new rules are dumb...so if a GK punches the ball against his own players arm even though it's going into row Z, it's a penalty to opposition because contact was in the box.

You can’t really have it so that the ball has to be on target, what about crosses that could lead to goal scoring opportunities?

I haven’t seen it myself, but in what way did he have his back to the ball? As a young defender I was mostly coached to always have your eye on the ball....

too much conjecture. how many crosses actually complete? let alone result in a goal

But deciding if a handball is intentional is conjecture also. My point is, you can’t just award a penalty if the persons shooting at goal, you’re opening up another can of worms and creating fresh problems.

Trying to find some positives. We get to see more of Stevie B start in the Prem with Son out. Missed the last 20 mins but heard Ndombele had a nice little cameo on the radio.

Thought Winks played much better today. Hopefully todays result will make us hungry for Chelsea and Dele starts(and hopefully bangs one or two in).
