Lindelof will be Ole's achilles heel

I don't understand why Ole keeps persisting with Lindelof. Quite frankly he is the worst CB I have ever seen at United and that includes Evans who frankly I wouldn't mind getting back.

Lindelof is a sorry excuse of a CB. He is slow, for a supposed "baller" he panics under pressure, rarely dominates in the air and his positioning is poor. However his biggest weakness is his physique. I have seen midgets dominate him and run past him.

Don't let our last years position fool you. Had the games not been played in empty stadia, we would have struggled for 5th spot let alone 3rd.

Lindelof is a Championship level player and the more United persist with him the more we will suffer. Cant believe people called him the "Iceman"

City had 1 defensive blunder last night and they have already almost signed Ruben Dias

I dont like Lindeloff too but I understand. Ole is a man of principle on his tactics and squad preferences. A lot of the best managers are tbh, but only if you get the right players for it. I do not begrudge him trying to make it work.

His greater crime though is freezing out smalling.

Lindelof has had plenty of good games, including several last season where he played better than Maguire. He has sufficient weaknesses in his game that we are right to doubt he's good enough to be in our XI. Right now the whole team is playing poorly, not least because we're facing sharper and fitter due to our shortened pre-season. And as a result, some posters are reacting hysterically about individual players and issues (Lindelof is the worst centre back we've ever had / Pogba is a disgrace / Solskjaer doesn't have a clue). Yes, it's an area of the team we'd like to improve. But we did have a decent defensive record last year with the same line-up, playing in front of a keeper who made a lot of disastrous errors and behind a midfield that was disrupted by injuries. It's not the apocalypse.

We won’t have any of this measured, rational nonsense on this board, thank you very much!

It's the relentlessness of it that gets me, Rosso. You give the factual rebuttals and we have a decent run of results and performances and they disappear or even (as in UWW's case) indicate a slight acceptance that things are rosier than they appeared. One bad performance and BOOM they're back. Two and they're having street parties.

You may ask yourself
What is that beautiful house?
You may ask yourself
Where does that highway go to?
And you may ask yourself
Am I right? Am I wrong?
And you may say to yourself
“My God! What have I done?"

Keep playing 4-2-3-1 will be his downfall, It’s like he doesn’t know how to set a team up any different.

Except he does, as he has played a diamond formation several times.

Achilles heel eh, sooo, you're saying Ole will suffer a bad Limpleoff.
On the pitch maybe, but you can recover. When you've got deadweight anchoring the ship, then you got problems. It's a shame but Vic is a good player, but in certain match ups, is a problem.
Ole's true problem are the owners, but slowly it's being spun onto Ole, cos he's expendable.
