Dean Henderson

He is ready.

Everybody said it’s easy to play for the blades and make 9/10 saves a game where he’s always busy but it’s tough to play for United where you do nothing for 80 mins and have to make 1 or 2 saves and keep your concentration.

He has proved in these 2 games he’s ready to take over.

I did say we shouldn’t have given DDG a new contract. He’s apparently the highest paid player in the PL (if you don’t count the share of Bales wages paid by Real).

Henderson, please step up and be that guy 💎

De gea had 2 or 3 seasons where he looked unbeatable.

The past 2 years he's been a deer in headlights.
If he doesn't improve this season he has to go as he's cost us loads recently

It was more like 5 seasons to be fair. Wasn't he in the pl team of the season 5 out of 6 years? But the last 2 he's looked average. I think he needs a new challenge.

I agree about the new challenge therefore it would be in both his and the club's interest that he regains his form so a top European club comes in for him next summer.

Yeh I think you are right Elvis.
I thought it was more 5 or so years after I posted that.

I didn't know he was on that much money though. Wowzas

If he regains his form what would be the point of selling him? I’ve yet to see anything to suggest that Henderson is even close to an in form David De Gea.

De Gea's a brilliant keeper and Henderson's a potentially brilliant keeper. This is a very good situation to be in if Henderson realises his potential.

Won't be long until De Gea chucks one in so he'll get his chance.

If Ole doesn't drop hendo for the late stages of the cup games then he should still get a good number of games. Romero got close to 20 when we had good cup runs. Given the nature of the season Ole may rotate a few times in the PL games too, specially around xmas congestion. That should be enough to keep Hendo happy and let him prove himself at this level, while still keeping him in contention for England.

Also if DDG starts costing us back to back pints again then we may see a switch.

Also, to add to my coment. We may see DDG given the harder CL group games and Hendo the corresponding PL games for that given week, which means he actually gets PL games too.

DDG form for many, many years warranted the contract he got.

Its not like he was a jones or a lingard who we inexplicably gave huge rises to for nothing.

He's had a rough time but all is not lost with him. He has been one of our best players this season.
