Yay or Nay?
Now, please consider the following. We have been linked with this player as seemingly our 3rd choice target if we can't get Aouar or Partey.
So let's say that if we can't sign either of our two primary targets (which is worryingly looking increasingly likely) and there's no chance of us signing anyone else instead ether - would you want Jorginho?
Hate to say it but this feels like the one that is most likely to happen... Granted he's a good player but he's nothing exceptional and I really don't think he's what we need, I don't see him giving us much more than Ceballos or Xhaka can and do we really want to be taking players that our rivals deem inadequate for themselves?
So would we be better saving our cash for future windows to get the players we actually need to drive us forward or do we need extra cover in midfield given that we only really have Ceballos, Elneny, Xhaka and at a push - Willock for that role? Again, he may even be a slight upgrade on what we have but I can't see him making a dramatic difference.
I am a 'Yay' if we can't finalise deals for our primary targets - but only on a loan (so long as it doesn't cost too much), wouldn't buy him.
Jorginho

If it comes to it, I’d take him on loan, but I would not want us to buy him. He’s not a bad player, he just wouldn’t really be giving us anything different than what we already have.
Would be a very disappointing outcome to the window, even as a loan signing, But we can’t go through the season with Ceballos, Xhaka, Elneny and Willock as our only options.

He can’t get into an awful Chelsea team. We should stay away. But we probably won’t

Impressed that you found the time (and mobile signal) to send that little gem, must be tough being employed full time by Chelsea FC to keep blokes from
Côte d'Ivoire & Mali off the carriages of the Paris Metro.

This - on loan if we can’t get our main targets. Better to be pragmatic and have a plan B if plan A doesn’t work out

If shifting Jorginho means we can get Partey or Zakaria, then by all means Arsenal can have Jorginho.
That's my way of thinking.

Xhaka, Willock, Elneny and Ceballos
If that is the MF after Monday, then it's officially the worst arsenal MF in 25 years, topping last year and the year before

Well at least it would trump Willian as our least inspiring signing.
I think I preferred the days when we were constantly linked with Chelsea rejects like Malouda (loan) and Kalou, but didn't actually sign them.

The rumour mill is saying Chelsea are going to buy Partey and loan us Jorginho to get him off their books.
