Capacity under Covid-19

On numbers in the ground under social distancing, this has a massive impact

Every other row will need to be unused, so that takes out 50% of seats

Then of the other 50%, only every third seat could be used (some might say every other seat).

So if your capacity is 38000, that means capacity for any match would be reduced to between 9,500 and 6,500. And that is only if they open up every stand.

Nightmare how they will choose who gets the right, how they allocate specific seats, and how they would take account of families who don't need to physically separate

There may be requests to bring in standing, like I saw in Germany at Union Berlin last night, but the cost in ripping up seats and implementing C19 standing infrastructure would be high

Awful times for clubs, players and fans - but at least we have football we can watch, and we can support our team. Clubs lower down the pyramid are really suffering

Harrogate Town play Bolton today.

Thats the same Bolton who used to be in the Premiership now down in league 2, they have lost all their games this year.

How that club is going to survive is beyond me.

If this lasts a season I just can't see how we dont lose a load of teams from the league.

And when insay loads I mean enough to fill a league on their own.

Written the season off in terms of going to Elland Road.

Matty - I read a study a few years back that stated that the nature of the football business, I.e the have and have not was such that it was almost inevitable that the 4 league top tier structure was unstainable and there was serious advocation for at least a return to semi professional North and South fo leagues 3 and 4.

Your right, now with the Covid hammer blow its a question when and how many of those not at the top table will fold - suspect without help , it will be many quite soon.

Just thankful the Master got us out of the EFL.

It's a pity that Sky etc. have such a stranglehold on the tv rights.

Clubs could offer an "armchair" season ticket with all match feeds included. As a mainly armchair fan, I'd be putting my hand in my pocket every season!
