great result

but i think we found out alioski and roberts are not premier league players. pablo and harrison would have made the difference for us against one of the best teams in the world but you gotta say rodrigo and poveda nade a big difference and we could have sneaked it, think mendy should have got a second yellow but dallas lucky with his tackle at the end, never seen our players look so tired in a game at the end but they fought hard and did themselves and us proud

Don’t think it took this game to tell us alioski isnt prem std. we all love him, but he’s too slow to play wide in this league. Still coulda/shoulda scored. Energy off the bench maybe.

Roberts has talent but hasn’t progressed like we hoped. Wasn’t terrible today.

I’ve always defended him but so far it’s coops to me who looks like he’s not at it. Hurried on the ball, nervous off it.

Nit picking really... should be talking about how the whole team has stepped up.

Nobody is worrying me. We have 7 points from 12, in which we played Liverpool and City.

All the players will need time to adjust, some more than others
I'm content to let MB decide who will or won't make the grade I still have too much admiration for what this team has done for us to condemn anyone yet

There was a point where the commentators said there were four points of play to review but there was too much going on in the game to show the replays! Jesus that was some game. We were magnificent to claw our way back into it.

Re Cooper, I've been doubting his PL ability too but he put in a shift last night and I think his value on the pitch as captain holding it all together or trying to is very important. Similar situation with Bamford: he's not a top quality finisher but his work ethic is very important.

Great to see Rodrigo make such an impact - and get off the mark, which he was clearly delighted about! Great to see.

So many positives from last night to be drawn. I am immensely proud of the team. My love for Marcelo Bielsa grows daily in intensity. Seems daft to actually write that but there it is - he is simply incredible.

some players do need time to adjust, as i have said a before.

but as ancelotti said in his post match interview about james, quality is quality and just adjust / adapt / shine

my mind set has changed

Ancelotti has the luxury of coaching world class players all the time, but football has shown us, time and again, that the best teams are not always the ones with the best players. For example, Ferguson's last title with United was achieved with a number of players past their peak, or players who were still finding their feet.
Looking at us yesterday, we were unrecognisable from the team Bielsa inherited 2 years ago, yet we started with many of the same players. Of course players are going to struggle to compete with against the likes of De Bruyne and co, world class players will struggle too. But you cannot judge our players on the basis of four games, two of which were against the best teams in England. You cannot judge their ability to perform, to adapt or to improve in this wildly different world of the Premier League. All you can do is sit back and enjoy, and beam with pride. When Klich came off the pitch yesterday, the look of utter exhaustion on his face was as much testament to Bielsa's ability as anything else. Klich had given everything to compete with City. There was nothing left in the tank and I bet his misses had a disappointing night last night. This is what Bielsa does, he inspires players to believe in themselves and to perform beyond their expectations and ours. I wouldn't be writing off anybody at this early stage of our revival and to the doubters, I say, the best is yet to come.
