Crazy day and a pretty shambolic day for defences.
Watkins was superb. I have a feeling we are going to regret not making a move for him. £28m sounds a lot for a Championship player but it's about the same as we paid for Perez, who scored far fewer goals at that level and is nowhere near as good. Watkins has all of the assets that we need for an eventual Vardy replacement and I'm not sure there's a striker as good as him and with his qualities who is within our price range. I guess we'll just have to make do with Iheanacho, Perez and George Hirst

They said paying one mil for non league Vardy was too much back in the day. Maybe Vardy will come good one day? 😜
