A goalkeeping error in the pouring rain, pure and simple. Shouldn't have happened but it did, Ederson makes many more great saves than howlers so we move on. At least the scousers will retreat into their holes for a week which is a mercy.

Looking forward to how Sky would try to spin this heavy defeat around in the coming days.

They'll still rattle on about how bad City's defence is.

Doubt they'll mention the fact that United's back 4 today cost £200m.

It is good for football that the 'big' teams get beaten sometimes. Not comfortable for the fans concerned but will remind us to be a bit more humble I suppose. Makes me appreciate the good times more, don't want to have the league become the SPL.

We actually played very well yesterday. But sometimes, that's not sufficient to give you the victory.
Anyway, we now have 2 weeks to plan for the next game. Hopefully, the internationals would give some of our boys the much needed match sharpness.

We played well in bursts Mancini, we seem to take our foot off the pedal after 20 minutes or so at the moment. Obviously the new players are bedding in, I am impressed with Ake and would probably use him at LB more. Torres needs some game time so way too early to tell but hopeful we will have a good player on our hands.
