My take on the manager

As the dust has somewhat settled on yesterday disaster of like to give my view an Ole.

Yesterday many posters did what I did in January after the Burnley and called for Ole to be sacked. Like me in January I think these reactions were at least partly knee jerk.

After that Burnley game he really turned it around and I feel he should be given this season to see if he can be the long term future.

He’s done a lot of good at the club so far such as shifting plenty of the deadwood, improving our young attackers and giving youth a chance. However the jury is very much out on him imo. The jury is also still out on the 3 of his last summers signings.

We need to see further progress this season. I think this season will get better but we need to do better than 66 points and limping over the line for top 4.

You can blame lack of transfers all you want but he’s still spent over 200 million plus Cavani.

I really hope Ole succeeds but we really need to see a huge improvement in results and performances this season.

Agree. He’s earned time and shown promise but needs to get better in some areas. The formation/midfield issue is a longstanding one and now we’re falling apart defensively.

The style of play isn’t great either. It’s like we don’t have any real plan.

We don’t pass well enough in general, and we always start slowly. Except yesterday

I think Ole was the right person for UTD the way we were

Unfortunately I think it was the off field stuff that he has remedied and hasten to add very well.

On field I don't see what some say re improving players etc

Persisting with Pogba and Matic in a 2 will finish him sadly

The fitness thing is an issue atm... I don't think we should be as far off the pace as we are tho... Our league Cup side looks fitter than our first 11.

I'd rather see that lineup after Sunday too

OGS biggest mistake is keeping playing De Gea. Never seen a goalkeeper who makes near the lowest amount of saves in the league season after season get made out to be an amazing keeper and at the same time make the most errors. I guarantee you know out of the 3 keepers we have, De Gea is nowhere near Henderson or Romero at shot stopping so why does he keep playing. He is also the most error prone goalkeeper we have.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/12363204/man-utd-de-gea-henderson-romero-stats-transfer/ The thing with Romero is we rarely concede when he plays as he fills the goal. It is baffling what De Gea needs to do to get dropped. SAF dropped De Gea when he was makimg 6 saves in games when he came but now he concedes more goals than he saves and he keeps getting played. Make no mistake De Gea errors cost us top 4 in 15/16 and 18/19 season. Also De Gea lack of saving 1 shot in a game for most of 16/17 season cost us top 4 as many of those draws 1 save would have made us win.

Solskjaer biggest mistake is his treatment of Romero after De Gea made error after error that cost us top 4 in 18/19 season. I think he conceded about 20 goals more than he should have that season. De Gea is so predictable that he either saves 1 shot or 2 i said the same thing in Sevilla game it was near guaranteed we would concede 2 goals against them from like 3 shots on goal as he usually saves 1 shot and at best 2.
