What will we do with:

Pellistri, Diallo Traoré, Chong, James, Lingard, Elanga, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, competing for the wing positions next season?

Maybe I should not have thrown Martial and Greenwood into the mix since they are more of a strikers than wingers but still. That is 7 wingers competing for 2 spots next season, or from January doesn't matter.

Our squad is so young now, has to be one of the youngest in the premier league on average even if you don't count players signed on the last day that are 18 and will not play this season probably.

Only players older than 29, are Jones, Matić, Romero, Mata, Cavani, Ighalo, all except Jones are over 30 and most of them will not be here on the start of next season very likely. All contracts expire at the end of the season except from Matić and Jones. So next season we will surly have the youngest squad in the prem IMO.

I think we are going for a long term rebuilding proces. We can forget about new winger signings in the future IMO. I would call our signings smart investments for the future, but when I see we paid 30-40m euro for Diallo Traoré who is a 18 year old kid with zero Seria A games under his belt...

Price is with add-ons but 30m euro guaranteed, why not just by Sancho instead of this high stakes gambling.

I don't know, it all seems to me like it is going ahead without any clear plan or organization.

I have no love for the clubs hierarchy, and sceptical about how much of a strategy they actually have, but 108m on Sancho is also a massive gamble.

Elanga is good. I'll like to see him develop if thats at united i dont know

It did feel like an imbalanced window. Not one nailed-on starter and nobody for DM or CB. Two players for the future who apparently play in the same position.

I don’t think Lingard and James will be at the club much longer. Like you say, the lack of age and experience in the squad is an issue.

Lingard will be gone, Martial and Greenwood will be playing up top, and one out on loan leaves four wingers.

It’s all speculation.

These two teenagers who play in the same position apparently, it could see James out of the club. Leeds want him I have heard and 25 million has been touted. Also Romero should be released but I think United want a fee for him. Again £10m has been mentioned.

If United do get rid of both this window it will mean a net spend this window of around a big fat zero.

Then there is still Lingard Jones etc who still could be sold this window to English clubs.

There's no chance we're getting rid of James this window. Traore isn't arriving til Jan and the Uruguayan is nowhere near ready to play first team football.

Correct. I was thinking more about the next season, when Chong gets back for example:

Rashford Martial Chong
Elenga Greenwood Traoré

Who will probably not be here at the end of next season:

Mata, Cavani, James, Lingard.

Ono of Pellistri or Elanga will not have time to develop. And i hope we get rid of James and Lingard.
