Traore vs Sancho

People seem to have completely forgotten the fact that £120 million is an absolutely eye watering transfer fee. It isn't Monopoly money and if we aren't in the position to simply lay down that amount in one go then so be it. Every single club will be priced out of a player at some point, if we can't really pay it without it negatively impacting us over the next couple of years then we shouldn't pay it.

We may well go back in next year and get a much better price. We may try but he goes to another club. That's just the way football works but I would think there are people who feel he wants to join and that he will still choose us next year. That could be completely wrong but we aren't privvy to the conversations they've had so it's difficult to really judge it.

Of course we may have completely ballsed it up, we don't know. I think it's right not to be consistently held to ransom though. Shame because I do think his signing would have been a massive boost and I think he is perfect for the team, culture and group dynamic we are seemingly wanting to work towards.

United buying youth is the one promising thing about the club.

Tough to argue against that

It's not £37 mill unless he makes it.

It's a project I approve of. Sign good young players we have scouted, hopefully sell at a profit down the line, or better still à class of 22 and why not. They were right not to pay that for Sancho.

Not sure why people are claiming just bid 20mill more for sancho when the price had to be met by a deadline, which they already extended, and expired.

Lots of clubs are aware of traore even if he isn't known to most fans because of a lack of senior playing time. If he turns out as expected it'll be a bargain
