No, I want Ole to come up with a formation to play them both. I doubt Beeks came to United to be a substitute. Neither did Bruno.

And you may say ‘there’s plenty of games this season’ - and that’s true. But what games do we give Beeks? League cup? No games until December. FA cup? No games until January. CL? We’re gonna want Bruno for those.

We can’t wait until Bruno is injured or out of form (which, take away his penalties it’s fair to say he isn’t quite firing at his best so maybe form is an issue) to start Beeks.

Ole has his preferred starting 11. Time to change it.

Top 4 finish if we get the right replacement

Squad is better and more balanced now than it has been at anytime since Moyes left. We should be comfortably getting top 4. How the window was conducted was and absolute shambles though, but we're here now. Up to Ole and the players now. If Ole get consolidates that top 4 spot and challenges for other trophies, brilliant. If he struggles, then he'll leave the squad in better shape than the previous guy, provided we don't divert too much from what Ole has been trying to do.

Personally I'd go:

Mata has just scored two goals and put in a terrific performance against Brighton. He's not the player he was, but he's smart, disciplined and another wise head in the team whilst we're having a difficult moment seems sensible to me. In Mata & Beekers, you've got two very smart players who look after the ball with one and two touch plays. Add Bruno into the mix and you'd hope we'll move the ball a bit quicker and with more precision and tempo.

Bailly needs to be given a bit of time to find his feet. Apart from that stupid pass on Sunday, he wasn't too bad at all - certainly better than Maguire!

Berba. I'd have no issues with that as there seems to be plenty of energy there around Mata and Matic. Newcastle will probably defend deep so we need clever players to break them down.

as for the team, for the next few matches we may need to go slightly into damage limitation mode, either shoring up a little with 5 at the back (and by all accounts telles's talents lends themselves better to being LWB than a LB) or a diamond formation.

should make us more solid, and with martial out anyway, and cavani presumably not fit, i'd rather see an extra defender/midfielders brought in than ighalo.

How great is Ole who has nearly 2nd place wrapped up with 6 games to spare.
