Pellistri straight into first team?

I suspected that Pellistri would be used in the reserves this season, but from what Penarol are saying, it could well be that he is actually going to go straight into the first team:

========
Penarol claim that Pellistri will immediately be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans. ‘Pellistri is going straight to the first team. He’s going to play,’ Penarol secretary Evaristo Gonzalez told Referi.

‘During negotiations they asked me if I could guarantee that he was in the bubble because they need him.

‘Then it will be a matter of whether the manager uses him.’

Penarol’s vice-president, Rodolfo Cantino, also confirmed that United rejected the club’s request to keep Pellistri on loan until January.

‘Everything was agreed, even the form of payment,’ said Cantino.

‘There are two payments, one now and the other in July 2021, which we accept because Manchester United are a top club.

‘Of course we asked for it [to keep Pellistri on loan], we tried in every way but they argued that they wanted the player now. It’s normal, when a European club buys a player, they go there immediately.’

Solskjaer, meanwhile, has suggested that Pellistri has the ability to make an immediate impact at United.

‘Our scouts have followed Facundo for a long time and we believe that he will be a real talent for the long term,’ said Solskjaer.

‘Whilst we understand it will take time for him to adapt to the English game, he is capable of having an impact with his pace and ability to beat his opponent.

‘Facundo has the perfect platform at Manchester United to develop and he has all of the technical qualities and the right mentality required to become a top player here.’

=======

Having watched a few videos of him on Youtube, he seems to be able to ghost past players, but there is little end product. We've seen that before though. Excited to see if he gets some game time this season. Hopefully he is ahead of Jesse in the pecking order.

Man United have not registered Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo or Phil Jones for the Champions League. Cavani and Pellistri in. Greenwood on B List
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Apparently Romero is off to South America this month
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Shame, imho he's still good enough for the EPL

If his transfer to Everton worked out he would have ousted calamity Pickford
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeh he'd have been a good signing for them.

Thank good we didn’t or else we might have handed them a CL place at the expense of ourselves. Glad we made one smart decision this summer 😂

I trust Ole to do the right thing at the right time.
He's good knowing when to introduce them and how much game time to give them

Not saying I disagree with you but how do you know that?
Haven't seen enough of Ole's youth nurturing to base an opinion on it.......
